SafeGamingSites operates as an editorial review site with an affiliate revenue model. This page explains how that model works, what it means for you as a reader, and how we protect editorial independence.
What “Affiliate Link” Means
Some outbound links from our casino reviews to the casino operator’s website are affiliate links. When a reader clicks an affiliate link and then registers or deposits at that casino, we may receive a commission from the operator’s affiliate programme. Affiliate commissions are paid by the casino, not by you — clicking an affiliate link never costs you extra, and your deposits, bonuses, and withdrawals are identical to those of any other player.
How This Affects Our Reviews
It does not. Our review ratings are determined by our documented editorial process (see our how we review page). A casino’s affiliate commission rate does not influence:
- The safety index score we assign
- Whether the casino appears on our recommended lists
- Whether we publish negative findings about the operator
- The speed at which we correct errors or update licence information
Several casinos we review publicly have affiliate programmes we deliberately do not use because our editorial team could not verify their licence claims or received documented player complaint patterns. Several casinos we recommend have below-market affiliate commissions.
Casinos Without Affiliate Relationships
Where a review discusses a casino that does not have an affiliate programme, or one we have declined to join, the outbound link is a plain (non-affiliate) link. We still review these operators when they are relevant to Malaysian or Singaporean players.
Sponsored Content Policy
We do not publish sponsored casino reviews. Reviews are written by our editorial team based on our testing process. If we ever accept sponsored content in other formats (industry news, guest posts), those articles are clearly labelled “Sponsored” at the top and are not part of our review ratings.
Why This Model Exists
Affiliate commissions fund our editorial team, testing infrastructure, licence-verification research, and legal review. Without this revenue, comprehensive independent casino reviews would not be viable, and readers would be dependent on the casinos’ own marketing materials.
Your Rights as a Reader
You are free to visit any casino we review by typing its URL directly into your browser, bypassing any affiliate link. You will receive the same player treatment either way. Our editorial value proposition is the review itself — not the click.
